What do you see after the crash has occurred? I've never heard of that before. Things aren't quite adding up and much as I hate suggesting it, it may be time for an uninstall and re-install of the product.
Hi reese Thanks for your reply. Tried a several different tacks this morning. Booted up. Logged on as my wife. Ran Live Update. Shut down the machine. Logged on as Me Ran Live Update.
Tried both options again, without running Live Update, same result! No runtime error message this morning.
I take on board what you are saying, but the product has been re-installed twice now. Re-checked my ID ccSvcHst. That's as much info. Hi reese Tuesday, 9th, no problems this morning. Further to my message of yesterday, it seems to happen when Norton loads. Thanks for the additional information. I've started making some inquiries to find out if anyone else is familiar with this issue.
Thank you. Hi reese Booted up this morning Wednesday 10th , logged on under my ID and immediately got the runtime error R Both versions of ccSvcHst.
Switched user, logged on under my wife's ID, again got the runtime error. First time it's happened logging on under both ID's, usually happens under one or the other. Reg: Aug I have a suggestion about all this.
Message Edited by mijcar on AM. Thanks for the interest mijcar We switch users whilst the other is logged on. It only happens after a boot up, i. No programs are running when we switch user. We both use the same Norton settings. If ccSvcHst. This has given a little more insight into the issue for us.
Everything was fine when I logged off and back on again. Should I not wait to see if reese can find an answer? No problems today, Thursday 11th. AA, you shouldn't lose your subscription. Before I update, should I not wait for reese to come back with a possible solution? Ran fix - re-booted got same messages again.

Re-installing Outlook won't help. Symantec is unable to duplicate this problem or offer a solution. One thing I did discover is that a user with this problem had installed the scumware Hotbar. I run NIS and Outlook and everything works fine for my antispam plugin. But I don't have any spyware. Name this folder HJT for best and safest results.
